I am currently a Resident in Psychology and am working towards licensure in clinical psychology in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I received a Master’s and Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Washington, D.C. I completed my pre-doctoral internship in Houston, Texas working with children and their families who have experienced extensive physical and sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, and have been involved in human trafficking. I have received training in play therapy, and trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy with children and adolescents. Additionally, I have experience completing psychological evaluations, specifically in regard to the impact of trauma on the functioning of children and adolescents, as well as their caregivers. I am interested in working with children, adolescents and their families who are dealing with trauma, abuse, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and adjustment.
Throughout my graduate training I have had experience facilitating individual and group therapy related to a variety of social and emotional challenges including anxiety, depression, behavioral difficulties, trauma, and academic concerns. I have additional training experience in providing behavior-based interventions for children on the autism spectrum.
