I received a Master's and Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology, Washington, D.C. I have a special interest in working with children with a history of early trauma who develop sexual behavior problems, and continue my work with Boundary Project, a research-informed assessment and treatment program initially developed by Dr. Gil for children ages 4-12 years with sexual behavior problems. I have been excited to focus my efforts in further refining and developing useful assessment and treatment strategies.
I provide individual, family, family-focused, and group therapy to children and adolescents with sexual behavior problems as well as children and adults presenting with symptoms of posttraumatic stress, anxiety, adjustment, and complex trauma. I have experience and specialized training in the assessment and treatment of youth with sexual behavior problems, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-focused integrated play therapy (Gil), extended play-based developmental assessments (Gil), art, sand, and play therapy interventions for children, adolescents, and adults who have been physically, emotionally, or sexually abused, parent-child assessments, therapeutic visitation following separation, play-based developmental assessments of children and adolescents, and Theraplay (attachment-based therapy).
